It’s Time…

It was a modest “Wanted” ad that launched Stolen Time onto their musical journey. Dave posted it on the bulletin board at the Sam Ash Music around the corner from his house in Downtown Las Vegas.

Looking for a guitar player to jam with. Influences include Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, O.A.R., Young the Giant. Hit me up.

“I never imagined it would’ve led me here,” he says. “But Keith and I pretty quickly became great friends, friends who also happen to create some badass music. That’s how Stolen Time was born.”

Their debut album, What About Love, is the perfect balance of Keith and Dave - it’s fire and air, heart and mind, passion and desire. Their music is raw and captivating; it lives on the edge and although its bluesy rock style is strikingly familiar, it possesses a feel unique to Keith and Dave alone.

“These songs came from my heart and soul. It’s my loves, losses, and desires. It’s the most important experiences of my life expressed through the beauty of song,” says singer-songwriter Keith Zorros, who has a Top-40 hit to his credit. “Too Hot to Stop the Rock” was a 1980 dance rock hit which peaked at #33 on the national Billboard charts.

“When I met Dave, it really renewed my faith in the power of music. Most of these are songs I’d written over the years; they were collecting dust. My partnership with Dave gave them new life; it gave me new life. It brought me out of a really dark part of my journey and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created."

The final piece of the puzzle was producer/engineer Vinnie Castaldo, who owns The Tone Factory Studios in Las Vegas and, also, is featured on drums. Vinnie, of the local rock band Mama Zeus, has worked with an eclectic group of artists over the years, including Phil Collins, Starship, the O’Jays, Matt Goss, The Righteous Brothers, and Tommy Devito.

Also featured on the album is bassist Danny Miranda of Blue Oyster Cult and professional musician Matt Green on the Hammond organ. The title song, “What About Love,” will be featured in an upcoming music video. Keith and Dave are co-producing it with Aly O’Brien (@aly_182) and it stars Vegas entertainers Miguel Reyes (@m.r.s086) and Andrea Reyes (@andreacharlotte11). The album contains five never-before-heard tracks, including “Don’t Bring me Down,” “Cry at Night,” and “Miss You,” as well as a fresh take on their previously released songs, “Take Me to the River,” “So in Love,” and “It’s my Life.

The album is set to be released in early to mid November and will be available on all music platforms, as well as on vinyl through the Stolen Time website.
